Checking a PV quotation: the key figures
Two quotations are on the table and one is much cheaper. Before choosing, ask a simple question: are you buying the same finished installation, or will some work be charged later?

Checking a PV quotation: the key figures
Quotations become comparable only with the same capacity, scope and clear assumptions for yield, incentives, exports, warranties and additional work.
Make the quotations comparable first
Place system size, battery capacity and included work side by side. A price difference may come from equipment, but also from scaffolding or electrical work. Ask for clarification where a line is vague. You do not need to assess every technical detail yourself; the supplier should be able to explain what you are buying.
An attractive forecast needs understandable assumptions
Ask which location, roof sections and shading were used. A high self-consumption estimate should also fit your routine. Check who will be available after installation, which documents you will receive and what the warranties cover. Have important promises confirmed in writing before signing.
The key considerations
Check CHF including VAT, DC capacity in kWp, inverter AC capacity, expected kWh per year, warranties and included registration with the grid operator and Pronovo. A low line item may simply mean excluded costs.
